Blizzards in China
--on Blizzards' conference in Shanghai
At
the invitation of AEC, the general distributor of Blizzards
games in PR China, Blizzards Entertainment, one of top game
software developers across the world, arrived in Shanghai
on March 2, 2003, starting its first visit to China. Attended
this conference were Bill Roper, VP and a co-founder of Blizzards
and one of the leading developers of Starcraft, Warcraft,
and Diablo, Mr. Gil Shift, PR manager of Blizzards, and senior
representatives from VUG..
At 10am, March 3, 2003, Blizzards' first visit to China Conference
began at EastStar Club in Shanghai. In live Rock 'n' roll
rhythm by a band and cheers from fans, stepped out the Bill
Roper, greeting guests from all over China. In his presentation,
Bill Roper introduced scenarios of forthcoming Warcraft III:
- Frozen Throne, and blizzards' first multi-role online RPG
game-World of Warcraft. Meantime, all enthusiastic fans present
obtained a suit of classical Blizzards games and idols, with
signatures of the VP.
The conference characteristic of mingled Shanghai flavor,
magic charms of Blizzards games and elaborate arrangement,
left a deep impression on the audience.

8 digit telephone network launch ceremony
2 am, June 29, 2002, from the Information World located in
Shenzhen Telecom bureau, Shenzhen-Yu Youjun, the Mayor of
Shenzhen city, declared in an excited tone:" Shenzhen's
telephone number had been successfully upgraded to 8 digits!"
two minutes after receiving congratulations via new 8-digit
telephone number from Wu Chuanji, Director of China's Information
Industrial Ministry, and Zhou Deqiang, general manager of
China's Telecom Group company.
